The Lego Movie

The Lego Movie, rest assured, is like all the best animated films; this isn't best left for the under-five in your life.

Genuinely funny and visually incredible (the film is entirely CGI but subtle enough to appear like stop motion) the wild tangents and insane characters are enough to distract from the rather obvious hand holding plot (well what did you expect from a kid's movie).

The only downside is not that the main characters are originals but that the cameos that do appear are rather slight.

You would think with Lego's vast canon more tidbits like the hilarious Star Wars scene would be more prevalent but that'll have to wait for the sequel I suppose.

Much like Toy Story 3 the nostalgia and warmth this possesses is enough to leave the cinema with a massive smile slapped across your face.
