So you know exactly what you're going to get with Taken 3 (or Tak3n, seriously?!) and the fact that this delivers exactly what you are now picturing is either good or bad depending on how much you like the previous films in the series and generic action-ers in general.
It's fast paced, intense stuff with Liam Neeson again menacing (and afraid of running) and Megan Grace once again put through the mill (to such an extent that a plane crash can't phase her.)
Plot holes galore and Neeson once again bullet-proof (are you seriously telling me that trained bodyguards can't even land one shot? You just can't get the staff these days) it's still great switch-off-your-brain-and-enjoy stuff.
The camera work is rather schizophrenic to the extent that the movie's car chase sequence becomes one massive blur of confusion and there's a inadvertently hilarious buffoon moment concerning some 'nausea-inducing' drugs and a yogurt drink (is that really the best and most likely way to rendezvous with someone?!) but expecting something and getting it means you're silly if you go to this expecting something spectacular.
