Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, bizarrely, does pretty much exactly what it says on the tin.

It'll either sound like the last thing in the world you want to see or, if you're like us, it'll sound like a great bit of fun.

This is exactly what this gem offers up. The Z-Movie has been done to absolute death as has the 'Zom-Com' but this is a great alternative for any Zombieland fans.

A smattering of Superbad-esque boys-own humour, some jumpy bits and a satisfying amount of blood will keep you happy for a night-in movie.

It's laugh-out-loud in parts (look out for the trampoline scene and also the opening mime-along).

OK, so the plot is a little predictable and the leads, though they improve as the film moves along, have nothing on Jesse Eisenberg or Simon Pegg and do struggle at times to hold your attention.

A lot of fun for zombie fans.

4 stars ****
