Another year where the number of albums in the below list has had to be bumped up and still doesn't do justice to what's been released.

There’s also been a smattering of excellent EP’s this year worth checking out if you’ve exhausted the above: Little Simz, Bombay Bicycle Club, Mary In The Junkyard, Picture Parlour, Metronomy, Good Neighbours, Bon Iver, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Master Peace and Yannis & The Yaw to name a few.

I also need to save a full paragraph for a comment on the Lil' Dicky release Penith, the long-awaited soundtrack to the incredible TV show Dave.

Wait, there’s more: Kendrick Lamar, Sprints, Marika Hackman, Future Islands, The Smile, Ariana Grande, Bolis Pupul, Waxahatchee, Maggie Rogers, Taylor Swift, Porij, Hovvdy, Big Special, Billie Eilish, Wallows, The Last Dinner Party, Kasabian and Jamie xx were a few of the others fighting for inclusion on this list and are also worth a spin amongst what seems like countless others this year!

Have a fantastic festive season and roll on 2025.
